Dr. Bahati,<\/strong> a remarkable young soul of about seven or eight years old, radiates warmth and an infectious smile that lights up the entire village. Though her full story is still unfolding, one thing about her is clear: she is destined for greatness.<\/strong> From the moment she boldly declared her future ambition of becoming a medical doctor, she earned the affectionate title of Dr. Bahati<\/strong>,\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u2665\ufe0f\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>which we all use with pride and admiration.<\/span><\/p>

Her determination is a testament to her incredible spirit. Even at her young age, she is already inspiring those around her. In January, during our time in the village, she was inseparable from\u00a0 our own Dr. Brisa, Ph.D.,<\/strong> a Food Chemist. Dr. Bahati<\/strong>, happily<\/span> soaked up every moment of connection and learning with Brisa. We also introduced her to\u00a0\u00a0\u2665\ufe0f<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Dr. J, (Julius,)<\/strong> the compassionate medical doctor who visits the village daily to ensure the children receive the best care. Meeting <\/span>Dr. J<\/strong> was a powerful moment for <\/span>Dr. Bahati,<\/strong> bridging the dreams of a young girl with the reality of someone who\u00a0<\/span>\u2665\ufe0f\u00a0<\/span>embodies her aspirations.<\/span><\/p>

Dr. Bahati\u2019s<\/strong> vision and enthusiasm remind us that greatness knows no age, and her story is one we are eager to follow. Her journey is just beginning, and I look forward to sharing more about her as I learn from George this week. One thing is certain: Dr. Bahati is a beacon of hope,<\/strong> a shining example of what dreams, determination, and a warm heart can achieve.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>

\u201cIt was Jorge's birthday on December 23rd., 2023, but he left Dar es Salaam on a bus to go to Dodoma Village to speak to the head of the Village Chief Mihujo Joseph. After the Chief was satisfied with George, he was introduced to the children's grandparents who were the boy's only guardians since their parents were both dead. Since the grandparents were not able to take care of the boys, George was allowed to bring the two brothers we call BB1 (Bus Boy 1) and BB2 (Bus Boy 2) to the home in Dar es Salaam.
